Open access

Publishing Open Access is not necessarily upon payment. There are several ways to make an article available in open access.

CNR signed a read-only contract with this publisher.

For further information consult the page "CNR Contracts" on the "Pubblicare Open Access al CNR[Publishing Open Access at CNR] website.

PNAS Open Access

- Green OA

  • Embargo - PNAS does not impose an embargo on the preprint, while the postprint may be deposited in an open repository after 12 months. It may be necessary to apply for a CC license, as explained at the bottom of the page.

- PNAS Hybrid Journals

- Gold OA

- APC - the publisher charges publication fees not associated with the APC.

PNAS is one of the most cited multidisciplinary publications in the world, counting more than 3200 research publications per year.

PNAS - Licenses. All OA articles published by PNAS are under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND) or under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license if requested by the funder. Some funders and institutions may have specific requests for open access and licenses which may be in contrast with PNAS standard license. Authors should communicate their requirements to guarantee compliance or ask for specific addenda. Indeed, changes to the OA status or to the license selected may not be possible.
