Reaxys is a resource for Chemistry launched by Elsevier in 2009. It aggregates the contents of the three databases CrossFire Beilstein, dedicated to Organic Chemistry; Crossfire Gmelin, focussed on Inorganic and Organo-Metallic Chemistry, and the Patent Chemistry Database (PCD) in one web-based platform.
The database is designed to support and accelerate the whole research workflow, providing bibliographic information and info on patents, granting access to chemical structures, properties and reactions; allowing the evaluation of composite synthesis; the sharing of research data within the community, and a comparison between published and unpublished experimental data.
The temporal coverage goes from 1771 until today.
Users can register in the database personalizing their profiles with specific settings.
