Interesting news on opensciencefair.eu

Robert Terry (WHO):

  • it is time to change the sequence of steps in scientific communication: first the preprint, then the review;
  • the era of journals is over and the 'version of record' makes no sense in the dynamic world of research;
  • in the WHO Living Guidelines only 25% of the papers cited are from traditional traditional publications, the rest from preprints;
  • Impact Factor is a toxic measure;
  • let the preprints be disseminated and achieve the success they deserve if they deserve it, on their own strength, without the reference to the "prestigious container/magazine".

Robert Terry (WHO) also presented this very useful infographic on Open Science, by Gabriela Montorzi.
