The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of tools for the storage, referencing and data analysis on the spread of the infection. The results can be a valuable tool to support authorities in the evaluation of protocols and effective containment measures in response.

The National Institute of Nuclear Physics formed COVIDSTAT-INFN Working Group and launched the dedicated website with the aim of supplying statistical analysis of the data provided daily by the Civil Protection on the spread of the pandemic in Italy.

The data, software, and summary graphs of COVIDSTAT-INFN are openly available on the digital archive (currently in pilot mode) for the deposit of INFN scientific products. It is open to contributions from researchers of other disciplines.
