The introduction to the “National Plan for Open Science"  (Piano Nazionale per la Scienza Aperta) has been published on pages 156-158 of the Italian “National Research Plan” (Piano Nazionale della Ricerca - PNR 2021-2027).

In November 2020 the Ministry of University and Research asked a small group of experts (Giorgio Rossi, Donatella Castelli, Roberto Caso and Elena Giglia) to revise and update the Plan in regard of the consultation comments, after the public consultation in September 2020.

The Plan will be released with its 5 sections, objectives and indicators to measure them.
