In this moment of emergency for Italy, the librarians of CBN Nilde, Italian Universities, Research, and Biomedical Centres are promoting an initiative that appeals to publishers and institutions for a derogation from the restrictive clauses of the licensing agreements. It would allow the provision of library services remotely and the access to the necessary scientific documentation for research, study/teaching and updating of medical-hospital professionals engaged in the Covid-19.

The appeal also calls for the provision of documents from the digital collections to all categories of citizens who need exact and validated information on the medical emergency.
