Delegates from the five world-leading Open Access initiatives: African Open Science Platform, AmeLICA, cOAlition S, OA2020 e SciELO met on 1 May 2019 during the Annual Meeting of the Global Research Council in São Paulo, Brazil.

The principles of Open Access were reinforced by the meeting, such as the objective of turning Open Access into reality in a short time. Here is the Statement published after the meeting.
