The access to the Library is granted to all users who need to exploit its holdings, both via local and remote access.

Local Access

The majority of the printed resources are available in open shelves. Users can browse the catalogue of books and the catalogue of journals to check their collocation.

The Library hosts books and the last 10 year’s issues (in some cases 5) of the printed journals. Previous year’s issues are stocked in the storage rooms. The library staff will process all requests of bibliographic material as soon as possible.

Remote access

Internal and external users can access the electronic resources purchased by CNR (journals and databases) via the IP address from any access point located in the CNR-Area in Pisa.

It is also possible to access the resources remotely via the biblioproxy service of the CNR library system. Users should login in the website https://biblioproxy.cnr.it entering the SIPER access credentials issued to all CNR employees. Upon request and approval of the director of the institute of affiliation, the SIPER credentials may be issued also to specific categories of personnel not classified as CNR employee.
